G6 Hospitality owns, operates, and franchises more than 1,400 economy lodging locations under the Motel 6 and Studio 6 brands in the United States and Canada and the Hotel 6 brand in India. In 2020, PhotoWeb were contracted to upgrade the Motel 6 photography portfolio in California with a sixty day deadline from scheduling to delivery. The project was completed on time, to the delight of the G6 and PhotoWeb team. One photo shoot of note took place at the original Motel 6 in Santa Barbara, California which was built in 1962 by two local building contractors, William Becker and Paul Greene. At the time, they had decided on a $6 room rate per night, hence the name ‘Motel 6’. G6 Hospitality is now drawing up plans to extend the photography upgrades across the Americas in 2021.
